How to Create Custom Admin Color Schemes in WordPress

Most users enjoy the admin user interface for WordPress as it allows you to customize it as you please for colors. This can be done for ease of viewing or just to add some customization to your admin area. In this video, we will show you how to create a custom admin color scheme in WordPress.

Summary of this Tutorial:

Start by installing and activating the “Admin Color Schemer” plugin.

With it active go to Tools, Admin Colors to start making your own color scheme.

Choose the colors you want for the base, icon, highlight, and notifications with the color picker.

You can even shoose colors for other elements by clicking the Show Advanced Options List.

The Custom color scheme will be displayed as ‘Custom’ under the User Profile screen.

Any user who can see this including yourself can now use this new scheme.
