Start by installing and activating the Simply Exclude plugin.

This will add a new menu item in your dashboard.

Then go to Simply Exclude, Settings to configure.

From here you can choose to exclude any taxonomies, post types and users from the tabs at the top.

The items you choose will be excluded from search results.
